Ingredients
1 cup Mott's(R) Natural Applesauce
1 cup organic whole milk
3 large eggs
¼ cup maple sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
5 slices cinnamon raisin bread, cut into cubes
2 tablespoons salted butter, for skillet
Streusel Topping:
⅔ cup gluten-free oats
1 tablespoon almond flour
1 tablespoon butter
3 tablespoons maple sugar
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine applesauce, milk, eggs and brown sugar in medium bowl.
Whisk until well combined.
Place 2 tablespoons butter in iron skillet and put in oven for five minutes, or until butter melts and starts to brown.
Gently stir bread cubes into egg mixture until well moistened.
Pour mixture into hot iron skillet (be careful to avoid splatter).
Mix oats, almond flour, remaining tablespoon butter, 3 tablespoons maple sugar, ground cinnamon and nutmeg until thoroughly combined and crumbly; add to top of bread mixture.
Bake 30 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Serve warm.
