This morning one of our pastors spoke about 2 Corinthians 5 in light of understanding our calling. He used the word compelled, and it captured my attention.
In life, there are lots of things we’re told to do. There are lots of things we want to do. There are things we say we wish we had the energy to do.
But rarely does something so capture our attention, that we cannot help but pursue it.
At least not something that matters.
So it is with love, though. When we love, really love, we are compelled to share it. Hearts and flowers, doodled names, chocolates and gushy poems be darned; when we truly, deeply love, we are driven to say it, but more, to show it.
I wonder, how often am i compelled to give away the Love that has been so ridiculously showered on me?
When i was lost, i was broken, i was wandering,
My Papa-God came after my heart.
Fist shaking to the sky, demanding answers for the things here that just aren’t right, I asked Him to show me why.
And He said, “I love you.” and He gave His life.
